A cable management specialist has grown and acquired new premises after securing £ 578,000 in funding from Lloyds Bank.

Tipton-based direct support services provide spacer channels, cable trays and trunks, brackets and cable containment systems. Its products are used by customers in the construction, heating, ventilation, mechanical and electrical industries, and are sold directly to professional buyers in the UK, Europe, Asia and America. North.

Founded in 2010 by husband and wife duo Sid and Rani Sidhu, the family business was previously based in two smaller premises in Great Bridge which collectively included 25,000 square feet of storage and office space.

Thanks to the six-figure loan from Lloyds Bank, Direct Channel Support Services has further extended its footprint, with the acquisition of a 30,000 square foot building located on Britannia Works in Great Bridge.

The facility provides the company with much more storage capacity, which is required as a result of increased import operations. The company now imports 70 percent of its goods from 12 countries, including India, Poland, Germany, Italy and China.

Direct Channel Support Services employs 16 people and is in the process of recruiting four more staff who will be based at the new site.

Sid Sidhu said, “We have experienced solid sales growth in recent years and as a result we were more than ready to expand into much larger premises.

“We wanted to find a suitable site near our roots in Tipton that was large enough to accommodate the increasing stock levels we need to meet high customer order turnover. The new one acre site our building is located on is perfect for our existing needs and it also gives us space for further expansion as we need it.

“Lloyds Bank has fully supported our growth ambitions and the local team was able to provide us with important advice on the new location, as well as provide the necessary financing to support this expansion. “
