Council undertakes coastal zone management work in Narrawallee | Milton Ulladulla Times

Shoalhaven City Council is informing residents that work will be undertaken as part of its coastal area management plan near Surfers Avenue, Narrawallee this week. Work will take place at the southern end of Narrawallee Beach, to protect the Shoalhaven sewage pumping station, which has been identified as being at high risk of coastal danger. Site work will begin on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 (subject to favorable weather conditions), approximately between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday. The work will include moving sand in the local environment to increase the height of the dunes in front of the SPS asset and revegetation of the dune to further support dune stabilization. Temporary barriers will be placed around the dune while the plants are being established. Work activities undertaken during the period will include heavy machinery on the beach. To mitigate any risk to the community; signage, temporary fencing and a lookout will be in place during the work.
