EaseMyTrip acquires hotel management company Spree Hospitality – The New Indian Express

NEW DELHI: The online travel platform EaseMyTrip announced Thursday the acquisition of hotel management company Spree Hospitality for an undisclosed amount.

EaseMyTrip aims to expand Spree to 200 properties over the next five years, according to a statement from the online travel platform.

This acquisition will help EaseMyTrip add a new revenue vertical to the business and allow it to expand its hotel and vacation portfolios.

It would also allow the online travel platform to offer exclusive deals and offer on Spree Hospitality to its customers while making reservations, EaseMyTrip added.

Speaking on the development, EaseMyTrip co-founder Prashant Pitti said, “There is a synergy between EaseMyTrip and Spree Hospitality where we leverage the thin asset model to build a lightweight and efficient infrastructure. With this acquisition, we believe that EaseMyTrip is well positioned. to unleash the market potential of a recovering hospitality sector and rapidly develop the activity to meet the evolving needs of the modern traveler. “

Spree has carved out a niche in the hospitality industry and we are delighted to have them as a partner to strengthen our portfolio in hospitality and vacation space.

Founded in 2011, Spree has 45 properties, 1200 keys including hotels, resorts, clubs and guesthouses across India.
