Newcastle-headquartered property consultancy George F White has merged with a property investment and management company, as part of plans to strengthen its commercial property footprint in the region and beyond.
George F White, which was established 43 years ago, merged with Johnson Tucker after identifying its commercial property team as a key area for expansion in its business plan.
Founded in 2006, Johnson Tucker specializes in chartered surveying and commercial property with a particular focus on commercial investment, and agency and property management.
The merger with Newcastle-based Johnson Tucker will create one of the largest commercial property teams in the North of England, employing over 100 people and operating from six offices in the region.
Johnson Tucker co-founders and partners David Johnson and Andrew Tucker will remain in the combined company with Andrew Tucker, Gary Robinson and Daniel Capobasso as partners and Johnson as a consultant.
Richard Garland, Commercial and Development Manager at George F White, said: “We are delighted to welcome Johnson Tucker to the George F White family. The team prides itself on attention to detail and delivering the right deal through holistic advice.
“The merger with Johnson Tucker expands our range of specialist services and enables us to apply them to larger projects than ever before.”
Sally Hart, Managing Director of George F White, added: “We welcome the Johnson Tucker team to the George F White family and know that we will learn a great deal from their expertise, while integrating our complementary service lines.
“On top of that, there are many synergies in our working cultures that we will combine to ensure a successful and exciting environment full of opportunity for our employees as well.”
David Johnson, added: “We have taken great care in finding the right partner to drive the Johnson Tucker consultancy forward; we know this decision will greatly benefit both parties, while creating a bright future for our team, allowing the business to grow within the support and structure of George F White for years to come.”
Details of the advisers who worked on the deal were not disclosed.
