Engineering and services company NG Bailey acquired the assets of a material facilities management company out of government.

The Ilkley-based company acquired the business and assets of Cambridge-based Kershaw Service and Maintenance, formerly part of Kershaw Mechanical Services Ltd, a provider of mechanical, electrical and installation services, which entered in administration earlier this month (April 2022).

The acquisition is expected to generate over £4 million in additional annual revenue, with over 25 highly skilled employees, who make up the entire service maintenance team, joining the NG Bailey Group.

The team will be part of NG Bailey’s Services division and operate within the Facilities Services business unit.

Kershaw’s service and maintenance business has been providing hardware installation services across a range of industries and supporting customers with planned, reactive and project services for over 75 years.

David Hurcomb, Managing Director of NG Bailey, said: “Bringing Kershaw’s service and maintenance business into the NG Bailey fold is a natural extension of our already successful range of services. I am also delighted to be able to welcome all of our new colleagues to the NG Bailey Group.”

The transaction was led by NG Bailey Group Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Stockton, with legal due diligence support from KPMG’s Ed Barlett.
