Vegetation management works

Parks and resource manager Linda Herman said the review of the currently proposed vegetation management plan has led to discussions about future projects once Chico City Council can review the report. environmental impact proposed for approval.

Herman’s department staff will compile a list of what falls before the environmental impact report and, once these tasks are completed, bring the work back to the commission for approval before presenting it to the board.

Some of the work to be done will be small business, and some will require project-level work, Herman said.

If the environmental impact report is approved by the board on April 6, the department will continue work to hopefully bring it back to the commission in May, “if it’s done in time,” Herman said.

The committee approved this method of review process by a final vote of 7-0.
