Wealth Management Firm Opens Nashville Office | Finance

The California-based Bahnsen Group, a wealth management firm with $ 3.2 billion in assets under management, is opening a new office in Nashville.

The office will be located at SunTrust Plaza and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2022, according to a statement.

Bahnsen’s first hire in Nashville is Brian Miller, former regional consultant at AllianceBernstein and pitcher for the 2014 Vanderbilt National Championship baseball team. He will train at the company’s Newport Beach office until the Nashville office is operational.

According to the statement, Bahnsen is seeking an office manager, an operating association and additional advisers in Nashville. No Bahnsen staff in other offices will move to Nashville.

The company, founded in 2015, currently has 37 employees. Founder David Bahnsen was previously with Morgan Stanley and UBS Financial Services.

In addition to Newport Beach, Bahnsen has an office in New York and opened a third office in Minneapolis in July.

Unlike the Minneapolis office, which was born out of a partnership with another company, the Nashville office will be built “from scratch,” Bahnsen said.

“Our plan is to see our presence in Nashville grow significantly in the years to come, and we want to bring our geographic presence to what has become one of the most desirable places to live and work in America,” Bahnsen said. in the press release. “Many of our existing Nashville-based clients are not only Tennessee residents, but also those who have moved to Nashville with whom we have worked for many years in California. “
