A leading wealth management firm is expanding in Fairfield County, with plans to create around 250 jobs, by Governor Ned Lamont office announced Monday.
Mirador, which has 65 employees, is moving its headquarters from Darien to Stamford at 850 Canal St. in the South End, near the Stamford Media Village redevelopment. This building has “a new commercial facade with storefronts, new entrances and a lobby sporting an urban, industrial vibe,” according to a real estate listing.
Current employees are expected to move by the end of the summer.
Mirador was founded in 2015 and provides financial services to endowments, foundations and wealth managers. It offers consolidated financial reports, expert services and a technological advisory platform.
“Building our business from a 350 square foot one-room suite and now moving to a new 20,000 square foot headquarters in six short years is both humbling and exciting,” Joseph Larizza, founder and managing partner of Mirador, said in a statement. “We look forward to moving our employees into a space we can call our own and making Stamford our new home.”
Lamont credited the state’s “high-flying” workforce with helping Mirador grow.
